My thoughts are with those victims, too, and I am sure you posted this with the best of intentions, Anders.

What keeps irritating me is why we never see these topics on AVSIM and elsewhere when those kinds of attacks take place in countries like Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq? (Or Russia, for example.) People in those countries suffer from terroristic attacks more frequently (and often more badly) than we, "the Western world", do ... and all people are created equal, is that correct?

As a heads up, this post is obviously to offer prayers, condolences and etc to the people affected and their loved ones.

Anything else belongs someplace else as this is not a political forum.

Prayers to the victims and families involved.

I was in Barcelona during the winter holidays this last year and spent a fair amount of time on Las Rambles and never would have imagined that such a tragedy would occur 7 months later.

I will be back in Barcelona this holiday season and hopefully they won't have any more of these heinous crimes.

I was just in Barcelona in June on a European tour.  It is a lovely city, I did not see any signs of trouble while I was there.  Everyone seemed to be out enjoying the city, as an American I did not feel out of place, all the shopkeepers, hotel and restaurant staff were friendly as I struggled with the small amount of Spanish that I speak.  This June was my first visit to Spain and I loved the country and the culture.  My prayers go to those who suffered at the hands of word not allowed religious zealots.
