Ugly Building Lighting at Night

Recommended Posts

The shot below is at KMBL (one of the ORBX freeware airports).  It looks fine during the day.  Any ideas what could be causing this ugliness?

Yeah, I tried changing all kinds of settings and it's still there!

Hummm....non compatible light post and lighting?  I assume you tried turning dynamic lighting on and off.

I will go there and check this out as well.

OK I went there and I do not have an updated freeware Orbx airport in that location.

There is a KBML though perhaps that is the one you mean?

You are correct - it is KBML.

OK here is what I found. To save time I won't post screenies unless you want me to.

I can replicate that light distortion, especially close up.

I find that I have to turn my lighting brightness down to avoid that distortion. But then its too dark.

I also notice as I move away a distance it looks fine.

Made no difference if I had enabled HDR lighting nor dynamic lighting same result. Looks like we just have to live with it. Its also just the lm texture lighting built into the hanger, not a placed light as far as I can see.
