LatLong points not imported in Flightplan

Recommended Posts

Hi, using version 2.2.2.1. Flight plan (.fms) below imported. This was exported by PFPX. Points type 28, Lat Long points, not imported into flightplan. Just goes from RIKAL to ERAKA.

Any thoughts?

Ian

I just tried importing it in 2.2.2.1, AIRAC 1708 and it works fine.

Since it's an fms file, you import it by using the Impt button at the bottom right of the flight plan window, rather than the FP Import button.

The FP Import button is for importing flight plans written in a text line format from various flight planners.

Thanks for the quick reply. The points are imported and displayed on the map but the Lat/Long points do not appear in the flight plan window.

I see that now. The problem is that the line number/type on those rows should be 11, not 28.

28 is for pure lat/lon points where the name must be something like +53_+50, instead of the 5350N.

Here's an example line:

28 +13.691_+100.760 0.000000 13.691230 100.760811

So the exporting program should make these lines an 11 and it will import correctly.

Thanks,

Dave

Thanks Dave. This comes straight from PFPX when saving as as .fms file for X-Plane. I'll manually edit to correct.
