Static Cam problem with stuttering airplanes?

Recommended Posts

That is not the case. The only reason why v1.0 isn't out yet is because we still have some crucial issues to figure out.

All in all, FSX actually wasted more of our time than P3D v2, v3 and v4 combined.

Actually IMHO, P3D V4 is  holding ChasePlane v1.0 back.  Before P3D v4 was introduced the issues list in the forum was rather small.  Once P3Dv4 popped up, the issues jumped dramatically.

Only Keven knows, but I will venture that had it not been for P3Dv4 that Chase Plane would be in v1.0 by now.

Again, just my humble opinion.

How is P3D v4 holding ChasePlane back? That makes no sense whatsoever. We're trying to move forward here, not backwards.

Comments like this really annoy me. How exactly are "you" being held back when Keven has already said there will be a separate stream for different sims?

Look below at what Keven wrote. Which is exactly my point I was trying to make.

Thanks for the clarification.

You're overlooking the revenue stream from FSX customers. There are still plenty of people who for whatever reason haven't moved to P3D and may not for a long time.

There is still a large portion of our users on FSX. Although this number is decreasing rapidly, it is still worth it to develop a solution for them. Once they have a stable version to use, we will be able to move on to innovate again...

I tried Chaseplane on P3DV4 for over a month but have decided to uninstall it.   Just couldn't take the stuttering anymore. My take on the FSX vs P3D discussions is that Chaseplane is primarily an  FSX product that will work on P3D but not in the best fashion.  This is a legitimate business decision but long term may not be the best business decision.  I'm disappointed with the functioning of the product in P3D but so be it.   I'll try it again when it goes beta but if the intent is to continue improvements based on FSX functionality I will probably continue to be disappointed.
