Their 48% off sale ends today and we can buy nothing as they do not support FSW. :angry:

I would have spent a heap too!

You may notice that no developer you are used to supports FSW, right?

I know how you feel. The opportunity to eventually throw money at orbx is one of the things keeping me with FSW.

I have ORBX LC and VECTOR working in FSW , and they will be fully updated for FSW some time in the future don`t forget ORBX was one of the development partners with DTG FSW.

Yes, the FSW base textures are Orbx Global textures.

If you have FSX or P3D also installed you could just purchase them and copy the install links in the FSX/P3D scenery.cfg to the fsw scenery.cfg.

If you have ORBX in FSX or P3D you just need to point FSW config at your ORBX scenery, OLC and VECTOR works great as you already have ORBX base by default.

You have a lot of misspells there... 'ATIVE' and 'REQUIED' which may cause issues. Just letting you know.

Yes I`ve corrected that I was falling asleep when I was editing the config , I have installed UK2000 but the free version as the pay ware Xtrem will crash the sim.

You can use the installer for the UK2000 but you must do a manual install pointing the installer to the right location, just download the free version. Gary will be working on the FSW versions when he get the SDK.

Let me remind you of what John Venema, Orbx, previously (2016) said, quote:

"What Orbx has been doing over the past decade is making our own 'FSX 11' by expanding past the 128-class barrier with hundreds of new classes. However this required us to hack FSX/P3D and that's why FTX Central exists.
 
What we have now with DTG's new sims is virtually unlimited land classes defined and engineered by Orbx so that a decade's worth of R&D is now boiled into a new sim as part of its core. That gives us a fantastic foundation to build upon without the previous restrictions we always had to code around.

If I wanted to I could re-install FSX on my PC and then add the myriad of FTX Orbx products into it. I also know I could then point FSW to those sceneries. But I would end up with a product that is less than FSX because all the objects would not show up in FSW and that is not what I want. I can see no reason to dump FSW then and go back to FSX quality. What we need is full FSW compatibility. As most of FSX stuff works with limitations I cannot believe an SDK is not far away. As an aside, I also hope that DTG do not go down the Aerofly path and produce an SDK that turns users into Google Earth scenery manufacturers either. I prefer to buy my scenery from companies like Orbx, I am not that clever or willing to make my own any more.

Not really. Drzeweicki and FS Global have FSW compatible products. I bought both of them.

So... two? Besides, as long as other developer/publisher like PMDG, Aerosoft, FSL and other scenery developer don't do anything regarding FSW, I won't get hyped at all.
