LG & Acer Monitor Advice Needed

Hi guys, can anyone give some advice on the suitability of this 4K TV for P3D V4. LG 43" 43UJ670V. Please, with respect, I'd rather not have advice based on supposition, but from those who have either first hand experience or are experienced enough to give an objective opinion, much appreciated. Whilst I can't give an opinion on either of the displays you linked in your post, Scan are also selling a Philips 43" 4K IPS LED Monitor (cheaper than the Acer): https://www.scan.co.uk/products/43-philips-bdm4350uc-monitor-4k-ultra-hd-ips-led-3840x2160-5ms-dp-hdmi-vga-mhl-speakers-usb-30-x4-bl which is comprehensively reviewed here: https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/philips-bdm4350uc/. It also comes with a 3-year warranty as opposed to 2 years with the Acer. Worth a look?

Hiya, yes, I have three in mind and the Philips is the third monitor I am considering. In fact I am leaning towards either the Acer or the Philips. The only thing I have read about the Philips is poor quality control. It also seems to lack a little bit of contrast, but I really don't think that would be an issue for flight simming. I prefer lower contrast than the overblown, artificial screens that seem to be so prevalent on the market. Thanks for pointing out the Philips though. So it will be between the Acer and the Philips at the moment, unless someone else adds somethign to the contrary.

Unless you really also want to use it as a TV, you'd probably be better off with a 4k monitor as they are generally thought to have sharper images. TVs tend to process the image more and, as a result, soften it slightly - although I suspect you wouldn't notice it as much at 4k.

I agree 100% but I'm not so sure any of these are computer monitors in the true sense, I may be wrong.

I've just ordered the Philips BDM4350uc. I spend most of yesterday reading reviews and watching YouTube videos and it seems to be pretty well thought of. Price seems pretty good too!
