GNS Installation issues P3D v4 [solved]

Recommended Posts

Moving this issue to a new thread...

I'm using it with the Carenado Shrike Commander/ P3D v4

Install completed (other than the xml file issue with the anti-virus I reported) and I was able to add the new GNS 530 to the panel and pop-up

However, the GNS will not turn on.  Clicking the on switch on the Vcockpit I can see something happens to the screen (another less dark screen appears) but the GPS does not come online

I know this is new and am willing to help troubleshoot

Thanks

Can you please let us know what the "my documents\rxpGnsSim.dll.log" and "my documents\rxpGNS2.gau.log" files say?

Ok, this is your anti-virus working behind your back! (most likely). Please make sure to "white list" the aforementioned file.

I reinstalled everything and it's running now :)

Sounds great to me! Was this your anti-virus in the end? Any other tip for other customers you could share?

I did turn off anti-virus for the install, having faith that it was a false positive Trojan.  Otherwise it went pretty smoothly!
