Double airtowers in the P3D4

Recommended Posts

Hi

at some time has come about in P3D4 to my many  payware scenerys double airtowers (i see visually also default towers). It was not before but I don`t know exactly when did it happen and what caused it. It occurs in many payware scenery addons from different productions and anywhere in world (so it's not a specific region or specific product). Also in P3D4 I use very many different programs like GSX, MyTraffic, Chaseplane, GTN750... and so on. Can anyone imagine which may have caused that anomaly?

regards

eke

MyTraffic causes this. It comes with it's own set of basic updated airports. So for any payware scenery you install you need to a search for the afcad by ICAO in the Mytraffic/scenery folder and deactivate or delete any file you come across.

It is because the payware airport did not deactivate the airport .BGL file.  You have to locate the airport by its 4 letter ICAO code in the scenery\world folder and change the XXXX.BGL to XXXX.OFF, start the sim and the scenery will be updated.  If you add an airport to an Orbx region you might have to change the .BGL in the Orbx folder.

If you deactivate the scenery in the Mytraffic/scenery folder, doesn't this eliminate some of the other enhancements that were added so that ai aircraft may be parked where there are no buildings or taxi where there are no taxiways?

Since add-on sceneries bring their own accurate afcads, no it won't.

And there are sometimes that two products just do not work together. You have to decide which is more important or make a batch file to switch them depending upon selected flight. Lots of ways to handle it.
