Why was the CRJ thread locked?

I can understand some threads get locked when they get out of hand etc, but the CRJ has just been given a huge update, we all have plenty to discuss and now it gets locked?

I could be that the topic is 32 pages long and the subject line of "CRJ Released" is now outdated seeing its now been out for awhile along with a major update release.

or it could be that they have their own forums and beyond  just announcing the release we have 33 pages of discussion which might belong elsewhere.
