Updated Flythemaddog for P3D announced!

Recommended Posts

Ok, what I was really hoping for was an MD-11 updated for P3D, but this is exciting (and surprising) news nonetheless:

It's the Maddog updated for P3D v4! Updated modeling in the VC from the shots. Looks amazing -- the problem with this one was always that the wonderful systems depth was let down by frankly ancient-looking modeling and textures in the cockpit that sucked all the immersion out. This looks like a huge step forward.

WOW! I absolutely loved flying this aircraft back in the day, It was the last plane I ever flew using 2d panels.  The systems depth was great and flying the MD80 was so much fun, such a unique quirky and fun airplane to fly.

James' source is the offical Leonardo FB page.

Furthermore, Leonardo have officially stated, within the comment section (in Italian), that it is currently in development and on schedule for completion by 2018.

Looking forward to the re-birth of the Maddog! Time to buy the coal.

That's actually a pretty short development time line, given that the Maddog was an FS9 Port to FSX and will have to have many or most systems completely re-written to be compatible with P3DV4.

Wow, unexpected but most welcome! LevelD's 757, Leonardo's Maddog... Now if Simcheck decided to update the A300 for v4, I might think about installing it again.
