Shoreline water color

Recommended Posts

I can't remember when I first saw it, but there is now a light blue band around all shorelines in P3Dv4, as shown in the image below:

I know this is supposed to simulate shallow water near the shore, but I find it extremely annoying and unrealistic. Does anyone know where this came from and how to turn it off?

Also, while I'm ranting, is there a way to turn the wave action off as well?

Thanks,

Russ

Is it like this everywhere? Also when posting images of scenery issues it helps to include coordinates, and also include more information such as any addons you have. The more info the better chances of finding a solution.

Looks like ORBX scenery, but could that be REX textures for the water?   It makes me wonder, if one has both, let's say for instance the full-fat region for Southern California, will REX water textures replace the ones from ORBX?

Also, for you does this affect all your water or just this region?

Yes, it is everywhere, so coordinates are irrelevant.

Yes, I have Orbx Global Base, Vector, and Open LC North America.  (I don't use the Regions anymore)

and REX Texture Direct.

I have just noticed this and it seems to be a REX thing as I had just installed their texture direct water textures. I have now reverted to ENVTEX and the artifact is gone.
