texture packs dosen't work v4

Recommended Posts

Hey, I have tried to install a texture pack (p3dv4) for Israel and I have tried orbx aswell (global vector) and it dosen't change the txetures.

It's showing in the editor that there is no problems but it dosen't work, I tried to move it to the buttom and it didn't change anything.

What texture pack? From which developer? Is it p3d4 compatible? Tell us about your system and what else have you installed.

Not enough information.

What do you mean ORBX doesn't work? What are you looking for to TELL you if it's working? The orbx entries are in the scenery library. Sorry, still don't understand specifically what your problem is.

There are no Vector entries in the screenshot you posted, only Orbx landclass entries

I ran into the same problem trying to install the MSE demo textures, tried every which way to install them.  My own scenery for Colorado, spun for FSX, works perfectly in P3Dv4.  Even though it was created with the FSX SDK.  I want to get MSE for P3dv4 but I will have to wait until they address the issue I have had.  Some Carenado aircraft also don't work with P3dV4.  I had to replace the Citation 550 with the 525, the 550 had transparent interior textures.  Probably will take some months for developers to examine and address these issues.  My P3d install is a stock, untweaked install.

Judging by the first image there are no check marks in the check boxes. Unchecked items will not show in the sim.

@vgbaron the problem is that the scenery is check and there are no errors as you can see but the textures in game dosen't work.

@Glynn they are not there because I have deleted them after trying reinstalling.

@bills511 They are unmarked because I tried to play it with but it dosen't work anyways.

HOW do you know they don't work? What do you expect to see that you do NOT see? Just saying they don't work is no help at all.

AND if the Israel scenery is not v4 compliant it will not show.

Try postiung another screenshot of your CURRENT scenery library.

Also remember that land classes are not the same thing as textures. A land class just indicates what type of texture the simulator has to select for a particular location.

ORBX Vector is also something completely different: it does not provide textures, it's vector data like roads, bridges, rivers, shorelines etc.

As Vic says: what do you actually expect to see?

Hi,

What's the location of the screenshots? If it's in Israel: ORBX OpenLC Europe does not cover Israel.

Are you using the latest version of Scenery Config Editor? Previous versions do not support P3Dv4.

The screenshot shows Frankfurt Am Main airport albeit an old version of scenery from what I can tell as there's no Northwest runway included.

Hi,

I see just 1 scenery layer for ORBX openLC Europe in your scenery list. There should actually be 10 of these layers: ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE1 to ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE10. Germany is part of ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE6 and that's why you don't see any difference between ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE1 enabled or disabled.
