P3D V4 AA

On my triple view setup I use 8X SSAA and it makes the views look very nice.

Regarding performance loss I did not notice any drop between 4X MSAA and 8x SSAA with my 1080 Ti OC.

My former Titan X Maxwell indeed had a performance loss.

I agree Garard, I too have the 1080ti and there is no difference between 4XMSAA and 8xSSAA so I get far nicer AA by using 8xSSAA. HOWEVER, running dynamic lighting drops the sim through the floor while using 8xSSAA, so whenever I fly at night I simply choose 4xMSAA and then there is no performance hit! But the 1080ti is an awesome bit of kit and can handle most things that are thrown at it.

Thanks.  I'm doing some testing now.  Do you have everything else on default?  I think the only other thing I've changed in the NCP is setting power to prefer max performance.

No nothing else except the prefer max power setting like you.

Thanks.  I gave it a try and I seem to have the same issues with shimmering unless it's 4x SSAA.  I wish GPU prices weren't through the roof right now or I would upgrade my 1060 to something that can handle 4x SSAA better.
