FTX Vector/Openlc question

Recommended Posts

Hi all-

In Vector or OpenLc, what determines how many lights you see and how far out they can be seen? I don't see an adjustment available in either.

I see the Lights Configurator but that's not what I'm looking for; it's a separate app.

Thanks,

Mark

There are not any settings to adjust the lighting distance in either (that I am aware of).  My OpenLC/Vector lights go out nearly to the horizon though in P3Dv4.

Seems strange that this is the case. I would think that, depending on CPU/card differences, there would be an adjustment somewhere to manage this. But then again...

So lights are connected to autogen?

Oh dear...  Lights are autogen, so to speak

The FTX Global 3D lights are in fact connected to autogen (the density of them also depends on your vegetation setting). The OpenLC/Vector road lights are not. If I set my autogen draw distance to low, I can still see road lights out to horizon...but the FTXG 3d lights will have a much lower viewing distance.

Well, that explains that I guess. I wonder why there's no documentation about this that comes with the app(s).
