Setting up Payload TFDI B717

Just purchased the  TFDI B717, and going to do my first flight. does the payload manger have to be running whilst P3D is running ? The manual is outdated, and only mentions using the sim payload in the p3D menu.Asking here, for quicker responce, thanks in advance.

It does not have to be open the entire time. You just need to have it open, as well as your 717 loaded in the sim so then in the Addon Manager you need to click the Send Payload to Sim and Send Fuel to Sim. Make sure all the correct numbers are loaded by verifying on the iPad in the aircraft, and if yes, you can close the Addon Manager and go about your flight.
