P3D V4 light flashes at night on APP

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

just took a flight from EGKK to EDDM with my NGX. During final at RWY 26R (at night) there were flashes of light all over my screen. I mean like a lot of guys taking photos of my beautiful approach towards EDDM :gaul:. Imagine like let's say 1 photo every 3 or 4 seconds.

Anyone noticed this already?

Thunderstorm?  Dynamic lighting bouncing off cockpit?

Airport beacon? Rotating beacon reflection?

Could be a bunch of things.

Have no idea guys. No storms at all and I was pretty far from TD. The flashes were randomly in the night sky...and the scenery is default one from V4.

ENVTEX was my latest addon (~1 week old). I don't fly a lot but I did fly at night and did not observe those flashes... but.... I updated video drivers, changed things in P3D settings,...can't realy tell what I changed or broke to get the flashes.

If you get them again, disable envtex and see if they come back.

Just an advise, I always save my settings profiles with names, and I always try to have one backup of the settings before installing any add-on.

This allows me to revert easy to diagnose.

I hope this was just a glitch, my video card did short black outs with Dx10 and FSX under certain lighting conditions, for example looking at the sun at certain times during dawn.

Now it works fine under PD3V4, so these things happen don't freak out too much. 😉

Best wishes
