If I knew, I would have told you. I don't have or use Instant Scenery, however they have an Instant Scenery forum at Flight1, so I'm sure someone there would be able to assist you. The  instructions that came with IS might have a clue or maybe a YouTube video tutorial.

About the pace plane I did manage to find Sim 646 racer 8 which should be the entry for the pace plane and the pace plane is eraser 8 I tried substituting that out for the t-33 jet but every time I do that I get an error in the game that says failed to read from file. and crashes need help please

I would suggest that you learn the basics of FSX mission development and try to create a few test missions of your own before attempting to modify an existing mission.

This will allow you to try things in a more controlled environment. I have no idea how the FSX Mission development process works, so I can't offer any guidance.

I don't think you will be able to change out the pace plane.  I just tried to

change out the Caravan in the Sitka Mission and insert a T-33 that I had.

It did not work, so I think you can only change out the aircraft you fly [Sim.0].

How can I change out the default P51 Racers to other aircraft that I want except the Sim 0 which is the plane that I am flying I want to change the default Racers not my plane
