mce freezes speech

Recommended Posts

i truly need some help on this .

I have the same problem with online atc(vpilot)

start up fsx than mce it connects and works properly but after a while the speech connection stops. So the copilot keeps listening but I can`t communicate with any more

with vpilot it reconnects after pressing the send button but mce i have to stop and reload gain.

I`m aware its not a mce or vpilot problem but i have no clue how to fix it

in advance thanks

A few users have reported this behaviour. Should be sorted in latest package.

Ignore version displayed on webpage. Version is V2.7.2.9

Just download and re-install

C++ source code is compiled to generate "mce.exe" which then is completely transformed once protection system is applied.

Something went wrong there in one of the previous releases.

And the issue I assumed was related to FO taking many orders before stopping handling them after a while.

Just in case I misunderstood, what do you mean by freeze speech?

If you mean cannot talk to FO at all, it's possible MCE may have switched to DIALOG MODE by accident as a result of VPIlot panel popping-up.

In that mode, MCE suspends all commands for interaction with FO.

Is it the case?

yes that`s what i mean , i can see on the popup in fsx that the copilot is still in listening mode but there is no interaction any more when i use speech  .

so a sort off pause stand. but other than vpilot i cannot bring it to live other than restart the application.

and vpilot is not popping up because it works on the remote pc.

regards

sorry for the late answer there was a Holiday between .

Go to <About> tab in MCE UI panel and check which devices are listed under "Sound In" and "Sound Out".

What MCE version is listed at the bottom?

version 2.7.29

sound in   4-logitech wireless

Wireless devices have their own quirks.

For instance they are designed to preserve battery life and may go to sleep when not used for a while (which could be a few minutes only).

At the very least, plug the headset USB transmitter to the back of the PC into its own port and not via a USB hub or the front PC connectors which may not deliver enough power. Check the wireless headset has a healthy battery. Like any rechargeable battery, once it has gone through 400 charge/discharge cycles, it's no longer the same device.

Until at least 3 or 4 other similar reports emerge, in which case we'd have a second take, V2.7.29 is fairly reliable.

Thank you.

Just remember, when switching headsets, the trained speech profile is no longer fit for purpose.

Therefore, go to Windows Control Panel and create a new speech profile, name it after the wired headset. Make it active.

Do not delete the other speech profile in case you go back to the other one.

Train the new speech profile from scratch using our speech trainer.

No, that's a file on website and it's not even ours. It's the hosting site that provides it. It was never flagged in the 7 years the website has been around

But you could be having a paranoid anti-virus that is doing all sorts of subtle blocks here and there.

Suggest you tell your AV to trust "mce.exe" and "Fsx.exe", "prepar3D.exe" for a start.

Just curious, which one are you using?

ESET Internet Security

the av uses widows firewall and have all the mce applications in the trust mode.

as soon as possible i go and try mce again
