Does anyone know how to adjust the zoom in 4.1?

I would like to know this as well. In v4.0 I designated one of my axis on my throttle to zoom in and out, but this does not seem to work. Also, the key on the keyboard for zoom in/out does not work either. Has anyone gotten zoom to work in VR?

My Zoom defaults to 27 which is just a bit wide, Need to bring it in just a smidge.

They f^%#$%^ did it!

P3V4 + FIP3D finally made me experience my ORBX scenaries the way I think they were meant to.. even on my reasonable, but not extreme machine (i5-4670k w/GTX1070)... my dreams.. no autogen pop up, shadows, 50-60 stable fps even on melbourne CBD.. It is not aerofly smooth, but darn it feels good!

I noticed I loose image quality with my 4K Pimax when using the new Flyinside. I have set the resolution in flyinside to max but if I compare the quality to the native P3D VR the resolution is like 1080 or less not 4K.

Any ideas

VR menu does not appear in p3d v4.1

Try to update your NVidia drivers if you haven't done it yet, seems to have fixed it for others:

I just updated by NVidia 1070 driver and that solved the problem. The VR menu suddenly appeared and all is working well.

Hello all, just solved mine somehow, downloaded latest nVidia drivers, installed, rebooted without rifit on, reconnected rift, ran p3d and the menu is there and working!?!?!
Good luck!

I had an issue with the "Virtual Reality" menu not appearing as well on v4.1 and this procedure fixed the problem for me. :)

Wonder what they've got under their sleeve. VR isn't quite there yet for me to be foaming at the mouth.

Anyone have horrid stereoscopic performance? I am having really bad stutters and screen tearing with ASW on Auto. Mono works perfectly with settings pumped all the way up and ASW off.

My specs are:
CPU: i7 7700k OC to 4.9GHz
GPU: MSi 1070GTX with Driver Version 388.312
RAM: 16GB G.Skill 2400
OS: Windows 10 Version 1709 Build 16299.64
Sim: Prepar3D V4.1.7.22841
HMD: Oculus Rift CV1

Tried over on the LM forums but no one seems to have any answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The answer is that ASW can be evil. :emu_melk: (depending on your base framerate it can be counterproductive)

Try turning and leaving it off.

Thanks HiFlyer. It does seem that my best option now is to use monoscopic with ASW off to get the best balance between performance and quality. It's really a bummer because I enjoy flying VR very much.

Additionally, I have tried FlyInside but I am getting a different but equally detrimental issue that FI seems to have no answer for. The aircraft surfaces seem to flicker in and out in the left eye. I haven't tried this since I added my new hardware so it may be worth another shot.

I really do like LM's VR because it is easy to switch on/off. I fly, for example, an A2A plane and can do the walkaround and checklists in non-VR mode, then switch over to VR for takeoff, the flight, and landing. A bit easier than FI's "always on" VR mode.

That is precisely why I would probably never go back to FI. Hopefully XP11s native VR implementation follows suit.
