I have to brag about rain fxs, sorry

Well, all I'll say is I'm glad we're getting it.  Any push forward on the effects of weather, whether visual or otherwise, is good.  We fly in weather and it's a very important consideration for real pilots all the time.

I totally and utterly fail to fathom the point of this...

That's what the OP wants. I'd rather see him tied up in knots by his own flawed logic.

LOL, yes... Actually I want to see that too, come to think of it...

A futile attempt to wind Kyle up. He doesn't have a key, he's a Duracell Bunny.

...and I mean that as a compliment. I felt it a bit unfair that Kyle be forced to defend the situation.

So throughout all these years, it is only PMDG who hasn't included rain effects in their products though it is an available feature in FSX and P3D and all others have this implemented?

What about the furry dice hanging at the right angle and the coat-hook object? I want to hang my jacket up and see it come off and flop around in the cockpit as I fly upside down, eventually coming to rest draped across the instruments.

What are you talking about?! Aerosoft (and quite a few others) haven't implemented VC rain effects either. And what ya' know - it's for the exact same reasons as Kyle have given.

actually  rather have  the  flush  working  in the  lavatories  first before  the  rain  effects:dry:

A few general remarks.

1. As for the rain effects and them not being designed for FSX/P3D, let me quote Scotty: "There's nothing like the impossible to bolster one's miraculous reputation." ;-)

2. Rain affects the outside visibility. It is more intrinsically linked to aviation or flight simulation than the lavatory. It matters, even if only a tiny bit.

3. This of course does not necessarily mean that I'm of the opinion ("bragging") that PMDG should do them.

I feel this was a waste of space thread
Why can't people just enjoy the fact rain effects are making a comeback in 4.1 and call it a day?

Rock'n'roll !!!!!!!

Funny how the intense desire for rain effects and even their relevance has caused the OP to lose logical cognitive function when reading PMDG's very cogent statement that the sim engine did not have native support, and that their constructing a system from scratch was a low priority compared to other parts of the product.

At no point, did PMDG say "even if the effects are built into the sim, we will not model it". Again, another logical failure on the part of the OP.

It must be very difficult to stomach the current state of flight simulation with this degree of longing and sensitivity to one effect, thus the emotional breakdown in the title of this thread.

Kyle... love to see this thread closed, deleted and then burned, buried, dug up after a year, and then tossed in the wind over some ocean.
