Can't get RC4 to respond since p3d4 upgrade

Suggest you change the RC4 ATC window control assignment to "CTRL+SHIFT+W". Make it different from the key used for Native Atc.

The flickering might be to do with "Auto-hide ATC window", and possibly something causing the ATC window to pop-up.

Actually, in order to prevent Native Atc interfering with RC4, MCE auto-hides the Native Atc window using " ' " key. So maybe the root cause.

Disable that option in MCE panel, then speak "show ATC" and "Hide ATC" to see whether MCE can control the new style FSUIPC window with "Simconnect message window" title.

I assume you're running P3D in native mode, not using "decoys" and such. Like telling it it's P3D V3 or V2.

fsInsider64.dll needs to know the exact simulator version and Windows version you're running, because it does different things with ATC interfacing based on that crucial information.,

Hello again Gerald,

I changed the key assignment for the ATC window in RC4, and I disabled the option to autohide the ATC window in MCE. Made no difference. I went so far as changing and ultimately deleting the key assigment in the sim but that didn't correct it either. The simconnect window has no response to the commands "hide atc" or "show atc" it's just there all the time. I guess I'll just have to allow the FO to handle the coms all the time. Kinda disappointing, since using MCE to communicate with rc4 really added to the immersion for me. I still want to thank you for everything you tried.

Regards,

Jose

Can you post a screenshot of the ATC tab in MCE UI?

Also, install latest FSUIPC.dll for x64 P3D: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

In the 6 th screenshot...

I don't understand why the USB pedals are set to generate a "CTRL+SHIFT+W"? Or am I reading that wrong?

No they aren't set that way. It just happens to be on the screen. Keystrokes are expected to be generated by a keyboard or button programmed for the key sequence. I can have any controller on the screen but it doesn't mean that particular key sequence will be performed by that controller. Its just the way LM does it, they show controllers under key assignments.  I just posted another couple of screen shots to illustrate. I think I mentioned previously that I tried deleting that key command from that sim entirely as well but it made no difference.

Thanks for the heads-up on this.

Indeed, just checked and it appears the window name was changed to "SimConnect Message Window", which means MCE can no longer identify that window for a start. And who knows what else might have changed.

This will automatically trigger an update ASAP (hopefully sorted by the end of the week). It's very likely this would also have affected PF3 interfacing in P3D V4.

Just a word of thanks for the latest build that seems to have resolved this issue. Not only that, but it seems as though the program is much more responsive now than I remember it being in the past.  Great job as usual.

Thanks again,

Jose
