BN-2 Islander (Marcel Kuhnt) work in FSX?

I have the FS2004 version and was wondering, before I spend the time, if anyone had tried to install it in FSX. Did you have to make any modifications?

I was thinking of getting the Flight1 FSX version but it is a little too pricey for me.

The textures in FS9 are compatible with DX9 technology only.  Most DX9 products are compatible with FSX.  FSX/SP2 or FSX/Acceleration has DX10 technology and DX10 is not compatible with older products.  So turn DX10 Preview off (if applicable) and it should work.  If you want to use the latest and greatest tech, then you will have to upgrade to the FSX version.

I just tried an FS2004 BN-2 download and all worked well.  2D and VC cockpits looked great and all

instruments worked.  2D and VC glass were fine except in outside view it was tinted too dark.

Awaiting the new Microsoft Flight Sim and the purchase of a new system.  Running a Chromebook for now! :cool:
