PTA P3D v4

Hi  Just bought PTA and it seems like I cant get cloud shadows.  I have loaded Paul Davis presets, other persets and I have fooled around with the options and there is no cloud shadows.

 

Can anyone help please?

Try my 25_04 preset. I definitely get them on my setup. Do you have all the "receive shadows" ticked in P3D?

In this latest version it will work from the second preset you load.

You will see them when using Adams preset ( or mine .. )

That's interesting .. why on the second load, I wonder? I usually load a new preset (which clears the cache) ... and have not had shadows not appearing ... unless I haven't noticed LOL.

Is there something that only gets initialised until the 2nd run (genuine question!)?

There were 2 others who had this issue. When checking I had lost cloud shadows too.

I tried cranking up the shadow density , cleared the cache and nothing worked.

Then I tried another preset and cloud shadows were there again. When I reverted back to my preset the shadows appeared there too.

I posted this and those other 2 got their cloud shadows back too.

Hopefully things like that will be addressed in the next version of PTA - if one follows P3Dv4.1 ...
