Weather Radar

Recommended Posts

Hi All

Is it just me or did we all miss this one?

Bought the new Carenado 172 Skyhawk and discovered the Weather Radar during setting up the avionics

I had enjoyed Weather Radar in P3Dv3.4 and FSX in Milviz planes

Discovered that my P3Dv4 Carenado planes had Weather Radar too!

Not all but it is there in Phenom 100 and300,206 Stationair,Citation 525A CJ2 and

H25BH850 XP

Onwards and upwards

A small point- if Radar is on the often no room for GPS -third Avionics panel needed?

I find their weather radar unreliable when using an external weather engine like Active Sky / Sky Nex

Agreed - I think it's just for show and not at all reliable. It is possible to use the ASN radar gauge by Roland Ifor in some installs. Takes a bit of manipulation of the panel but you have accurate depiction.

Hi simbol

I am sure you are right. I have not reached the stage yet of considering navigating with Weather Radar.

Just got a surprise that it was there at at all in so many planes!

I am sure we can rely on our developers to get this one covered eventually

Just getting to grips with GTN 750 -such a profound jump In avionics for the everyday flight simmer like me
