Opus FSX and MSVCR90 (C++ Runtime 2008)

Hi,

Recently after an auto update of my TFDi 717 aircraft my P3D V3 started to CTD without fail every time I loaded the 717.  The faulting module was MSVCR90.

It is always the same faulting module MSVCR90.dll and to be more specific this dll resides in: 

"C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.6161_none_50934f2ebcb7eb57"

I have figured out this folder and it's dlls are associated with Visual C++ 2008 (V 9.0.30729.6161).

 

The solution I have found to remedy this is to remove or turn off the faulting module MSVCR90.dll, but the side effect of doing so causes two other issues that I have noticed.  One is that my Intel Rapid Storage program will not start with this dll turned off and the other is that I get an error message with Opus FSX (V 3.55.2).

Any ideas what the connection with this Visual C++ 2008 runtime is?  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling all runtimes, direct x, simconnects but have found no solution yet.  The aircraft works fine in P3D V4 which I also have installed.

Just for general info, the conflict turned out to be between the TFDi 717 and WX Advantage radar by REX/Milviz.  This is easy to work around by disabling the WX Advantage radar dll in the dll.xmls (both dll.xmls for P3D).  A permanent solution is being investigated.
