Questions about the QW 787

Recommended Posts

For anyone that has it, are you able to comment on the following questions?

1) The Crew voices seem almost like its an integrated FS2Crew.  Is this what it is or is it more like the voice checklists in the PMDG DC-6 or Aerosoft Airbus?

2) The promo video is very 'light' on details about the depth of systems and ability to customize the sim a la PMDG?  Any comment?

3) What is level of simulated failures?

I will have to wait for the P3D v4 version before considering a purchase, however, very interested in how this release stacks up to similar complex airliners that are available.

thanks,

The audio for the crew voices is pretty good, for example, it doesn't just call out the V-Speeds, it responds to your autopilot selections and the cabin crew announce stuff too, so there appears to be quite a fair bit to it.

It has a pretty realistic FMC from what I can see, I'm not totally familiar with the 787, but I know other Boeing FMC and it seems to do pretty much everything you'd want to do although the layout is not the same as a typical NG or 747 CDU, but it works pretty much the same, i.e. it does LNAV, VNAV, flies SIDS etc.

Dunno about failures yet, not looked at that.

I can tell you it's very nice and the VC is absolutely lovely and is full of shiny things to play with lol

Does anyone know, would the FS-X version work with P3D 2.5? I would not expect the P3D 4 Version to  work with 2.5 (when it is finally released) but a lot of FS-X thingies work fine in 2.5.
