Prepar3D v4.1 to be released next week...

Recommended Posts

I was planning to purchase v4 over the weekend...should I wait for v4.1 or will I get an upgrade if I go ahead and purchase 4.0?

Thanks!!

The .X upgrades are always free. It's only the full version upgrades that we pay for. ie. V5

Buy it now, but better if you wait for the v4.1 release to install it, instead of installing now and updating to v4.1 after.

Does anyone know if 4.1 is just a content update or a full install?

No,it will not require a full re-install. Just a "client" update...but as Ed states, if not yet purchased, rather install the full 4.1 than having to update again later..

Thanks for the info. I've been running 4.0 a month after release. Good to know I won't have to reinstall everything.

So on Sunday?  Really?

I haven't seen that confirmed anywhere.  I believe 'a few days before' was the official statement (going by their forum).

I would buy it now and download v4.0 while it is still available then download and install v4.1 when its available.

If v4.1 turns out to be a bit of a donkey then you still have 4.0 which seems to be OK.

The new install/update methodology is one of the best things since V3.
