Heads up for FSX aircraft in P3Dv4

Recommended Posts

Just a note to let you know the FSX default DG800S sailplane does the same thing with some Orbx sceneries as the Ultralight did.  While both seem to fly as they should there are some airports like the ones I mentioned in the Ultralight scenery anomaly post where you can get CTDs when approaching some airports and some of the scenery doesn't show up.  The DG808S makes the tower at Devils Tower disappear too.

Be careful when using FSX aircraft in P3Dv4.  In many cases they seem to work perfectly but then you'll come across an airport where they don't.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

As P3D progresses, it becomes more and more important to only use products that are designed to be compatible with P3D. For now, we can continue the hit or miss usage but at some point it time we will need to change over.

I know Vic.  But just two months away from my 84th birthday I don't think I have a whole lot of time left to wait :>)
