Hurrah for Aerofly, I'm a fan, I just honestly haven't flown it since LOWI/Meigs came out and I gave them a shot. Im sort of the opposite, I just enjoy P3D more right now, maybe it's the greater depth, maybe it's that I just love flying and walking around scenery that I made for non-VR prepar3d, and I havent got into scenery building for Aerofly yet. Lot sof potential there, though, great base to build on.

I have a pretty powerful machine but native P3D VR for version 4 will likely continue to leave me cold until flyinside comes out for it. (Unless V4.1 has some major improvements) Just too fuzzy! (which goes back to what people are saying about text legibility)

Flyinside makes things tolerable. (Well, mostly)

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

I only tried flyinside briefly in v3, didnt like it, gave up too quickly. Pretty sure that was just cos I didnt have my sliders/setup sorted sorted. Went back to FS2 for a month or two, then discovered how to make native P3D v4 work for me, but will definitely give flyinside a try again when they finally release their v4 version.

Good news! VR for 4.1 seems to be much improved! I can actually use Chaseplane with it now and move inside and out of cockpit, besides using custom cameras.

From my experience flight simulation in VR for now only worth for VFR

This is true, but I would go further and say its only way to fly VFR now

It's impossible to describe the realism and sense of scale and position it gives you, you just have to spend the money and try yourself

I've flown in a Super King Air and sat up front and was shocked at how big it was compared to the flat rendition of it in flightsims. You sit really high off the ground and the cockpit is large but claustrophobic

Well, now you get to experience that in a flightsim. If you get the Flyinside World Scale set right you can experience just what it's like to sit in a C90B cockpit, you notice how you're higher than perhaps you thought you would be, and how big those engines are

Night time flying in X-Plane in VR is......beyond words
