Ok, so I downloaded the free standalone PTAAbsolute, just to see what the fuss is about.  I am not into adjusting too much, if this freeware works, then many thanks to the author(s) and I will then skip buying PTA, just to avoid now having yet another app to tweak the sim, too much temptations for me

Yes, LOL, if I had known this before buying PTA I would have done the same.

Jeroen, if you found the color on your screen is too dark or there is no sun shining, that is because of your sunglasses. Take it off!

Just took a quick flight across England  East-West starting at EGNM.Pilot Pete PTA Preset More recent than the last one I found from his youtube channel, must say really like this one. My PC ain't the best but until I upgrade will do for now and looks pretty good with his Preset, which he seems to upgrade regularly so sure after PTA for 4.1 he's probably working on a new one. Like most, I'm working on my own too, but this one is Topline IMO, realistic look. Of course everyone to there own choices, but hey he certainly knows his stuff, respect man.

Used with FTX Global Base Pack, open LC Europe, ORBX England, AS, and Rex

I made a comparison. All taken at Orbx LOWI with the same weather and same settings. Only thing changed is the PTA Preset. No filters or anything.

You might want to view it at full size.

For me it's a toss-up between Matt Davies and PTAsbolute. (Matt's clouds are really bright though)

Thanks for posting this!  Much easier to compare different presets this way. I’ve been using Thopat for the last week or so, and it’s definitely better than default, but the comparison shots make me think the PilotPete version is better. So I’m going to give that one a whirl.

Good comparison, they are all good, am leaning towards pilot Pete or ptabsolute. Matts is good too but those clouds are super white as are Thopat, still its good to have choices.
