I am going to join in soon but i dont have the technic flare and motivation to spent hours restarting sim just for this.

Really need presets for sure for all my different aircraft types.

Updating to 4.1 made me realize how awful the default sim looks.  It is so washed out and I can't stand how bright the VC is and how bright the nighttime is, etc, etc..  PTA is really one of the top couple products I have ever bought for flightsim. It gives the ability to transform your entire sim experience.  That said, you may have to play around with it to get certain things to your liking but many of the popular presets will get you started.

lol, try Re-shade it is free, if you like the result invest in PTA which is designed specifically for PD3.

Both use post processing shaders to provide best looking and realistic views.

I never used any of these add ons, because some of the screen shots I have seen , look strange to me. A question I have is , if you install one of these shader mods, and don't like it, is it easy to roll back to default, or has one created a nightmare requiring reinstalling P3D?

It's real easy Bob.

Backup your shader folder from P3D (ShadersHLSL) that's all.
To restore default just delete the current one and copy the backup folder back ( there is also an option via PTA) But I prefer this method...

Easy to modify the shaders via the program happy to share mine via PM

That link will take you to a Re-Shade preset picture that shows you side by side the effect of the shaders, note that is FSX and the year was 2015
