Suggestions for updating to 4.1

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, been away for a couple weeks and am excited that 4.1 is finally out. I'm also scared to update as I've spent months tweaking, installing scenery, traffic and planes. I'm nervous that updating will screw up my setup.

Are there certain things i should backup or copy?  If so what folders or files?

Im aware that active sky, FSUIPC, chase plane, PTA etc all need to be updated.  Is there anything else I should be on the lookout to update?  I haven't seen much about needing to update sceneries...or am I wrong about this?

any guidance would be greatly appreciated before I take the plunge, screw it up and make for a pain staking weekend

thanks, Jason

Update the client and content. Leave the scenery alone and you'll have no problem. There are several posts here and in the P3D tips & tweaks forum that can guide you.

Thanks Vic...that's exactly what I needed to hear confirmed from one of the experts.

I can now do that with confidence.

Happy flying. Jason
