Missing texture required by many PrecipitFX effects

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have discovered that there is a texture file missing in my installation of PrecipitFX. I have uninstalled everything relating to VFXCentral and reinstalled VFXCentral using the newest installer. But there is stil no fsfx_PFX_lights_hallo.bmp texture in my Effects/texture folder in FSX or P3D v3.4. The installation has only added fsfx_PFX_contrail.bmp and fsfx_PFX_vaportrail.bmp to the texture folders. But as you can see, many effects like e.g. fsfx_PFX_77755038474E6775336E5A6C3231714C4F656D4E4E467A496B396568304E694C.fx are calling for the missing texture:

[ParticleAttributes.2]
Blend Mode=1
Bounce=1
Color End=00, 00, 00, 0
Color Start=00, 00, 00, 0
Extrude Heading Max=0
Extrude Length=0
Extrude Pitch Max=0
Jitter Distance=00
Jitter Time=00
TempK=107
TempRate=0
Texture=fsfx_PFX_lights_hallo.bmp
X Scale Goal=0
Y Scale Goal=0
uv1=0, 0
uv2=0, 0

I guess that I am not the only one missing that particular texture file?

Best Regards

Hi Kim,

Thanks for the report, we will have a look at this. This is most likely due to some conversion we made in the v4 upgrade process.

Hi,

The issue has not been resolved as it is not a priority right now (it does not break anything except for being visible in the Content Error logs).

We will fix it in the next PrecipitFX update.
