Flight Simulator Disappears. PSxSeecontraffic will stop

Running PSX and  PSXnet on Windows 7 computer and PSXSeeconTraffic on Windows 10 and getting the above title appearing.

Help would be appreciated

Are you using a ...X.exe version? And what Flight Simulator are you using as scenery generator at what machine?

I am using  PSXSeeconTraffic v8.7 with Prepar3dv4 both on the Windows 10 computer

Further to above  I have now sorted out the    Are you using a ...X.exe version? 

 

I have not been using the correct exe file. Now have to get the aircraft showing in P3D.   They are showing in PSX

Hello Nico    After a day fiddling :-)  and reading the fine manuel not word by word  but ltter by letterand using the correct exe file I come up with the result as

 

Version 8.7             PSXseeconTraffic(32bit)

AI_liveries folder      blank

It is now connecting to Prepar3Dv4  (Yellow patch)

Real Traffic +PSX     (Red Patch)

PSX host address 127.0.0.1        Actually running on 192.168.1.30

Percentage Parked     blank

 

%ok        %r    live:0

 

Obviously  it is not connecting to Real Traffic 5.0.13

 

Also you will note that the heading is   32bit    which does not match your picture in the manual.

That is just an example of 1 out pf 4 possibilities. By default a desktop short cut is placed to the 32 bit version for non-PSX users. That's because 98 out of 100 users are non-PSX users... ;-)

I recommend that you use the 64 bit version, so make your own short-cut to PSXseeconTraffic64X.exe or add a link to it to your Takbar or Start page.

That's not so obvious to me, because in a previous post you were mentioning you saw trafffic...

Make sure it connects to P3D v4, by closely following the instruction for setting up SimConnect.

Seems that it could be sim connect is at fault which I will try to rectify today

Good Evening  Nico,

Well I now have the two computers talking to each other i.e. they now ping each other!

If I load PSXseeconTrafficX  Prepar3dv4  I connect to The Windows 10 computer running 3dv4. It connects to the eye candy simulator but will not find PSX or Real traffic on W7 computer.

 

If I load PSXSeeconTraffic64 I get the original message   "Flight Simulator Disappears. PSxSeecontraffic will stop"

I have checked simconnect many times.

I am afraid I am at my wits end and do so want to get your fine program working as I have seen in previous versions

I must have imagined that I was getting readout on TCAS onPSX

Hi Derek,

Your log shows that you are still not running a PSXseeconTraffic version for PSX....

Run PSXseeconTrafficX.exe or PSXseeconTraffic64X.exe

Further to above. I am trying to get the update to Prepar3dv4  and I cannot find it on their website.  So am running V4 so this may be the problem

For the 64 bit version yes, but not for the 32 bit version. Try PSXseeconTrafficX.exe.

The error message you got (19) means that it could not detect PSX... Is PSX running? Do you run PSX at the same machine as PSXseeconTraffic? If not you should fill in the IP address of the PC running PSX.

Hi Nico,   Thank you for reply.

I now have PSXSeeconTraffic working   !!!!!!!!

BUT    PSXSeeconTraffic  only works with the 32 bit version finding both PSX and P3D

Both 64 and 64X finds neither  PSX or P3D and  closes Flight Simulator Disappears. PSxSeecontraffic will stop.

 

Your advice re inserting the PSX ip address was good ,     pity i did not   "ENTER"

Could it be that P3D is not in the Program Files x86 but is on the E drive.

In any case I now have something working and much happier.

The 64 bit versions only work with P3D v4.1
