How to properly save flight,state,fmc e.t.c for P3D v4.1 and PMDG

I tried some searches but nothing that could really answer the question.

What are the ways that i can save the flight with a PMDG (737) product. I need to be able to load the flight and continue my flight as it was exactly.

Back in the FSX days i saved the flight and also i saved the panel state of pmdg immediately afterwards.

Is this still the preffared way?

What about FSUIPC autosave? Can this be used to do what i need?

Yes.

From reports here and in the support queue, this is not as reliable.
