Mouse Brand and Model Request

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm looking for a bit of help...

I have tried three different brands and models of mice and, unfortunately, none of them have a working middle mouse double click feature. This means that I cannot use it to activate the In-Sim view menus or use it for the mouse look feature.

However, it is obvious many of  you do have a working mouse with a middle button (scroll wheel) double click.

I don't want to purchase many different brands of mice, only to find out they also do not work...

If you use Windows 10 for your flight sim, and you have a working middle mouse button (scroll wheel), can I ask you to post the make and model of your mouse?

Thanks!

Thanks Ed!

That one is a bit pricey...just to be sure, by pressing the scroll wheel down, you're able to mouse look and holding it a bit longer, turn on the in sim view?

are you certain that you don't have something misconfigured? having a middle click on the mouse button is pretty much standard.

i notice that you mentioned 'double click' but in this case it is only a single click... i don't know if it's possible to configure double clicking on that button to activate the mouselook but a single click should work with pretty much any standard mouse. maybe something in your control panel settings could be examined or you have some other issue that is intercepting the inputs from that button. is the middle click working with apps besides chaseplane when you have one of those mice installed?

for the record i use a wireless logitech m510 and with works fine with chaseplane, although i only have win7. but it worked fine with my last mouse also which was just some generic hp mouse that i got from a freebie bucket at the office..

We noticed from the reports that we have received that ChasePlane does not detect the simulator window correctly in some situations. We are trying to investigate the reason why.

If you guys have something particular about your simulation windows that I should know about (Full-screen, multiple gauges scattered around with their own windows, window resizing software etc etc.), please mention it here.

I am running P3DV4 in windowed mode so that I can easily pull up the Chase plane interface...

I wanted to report back. First. let me thank everyone for providing the make and model type. I went and purchased the Logitech M705 and it works!

I'm able to hold the middle mouse button down and pan around. I'm able to press the middle mouse button long enough to open the in-sim view.

So, in my case, I had three other mice, all with (I believe) a working middle mouse scroll wheel button, that did not work for panning or bringing up the in-sim view.

The Logitech M705  solved that problem. I bought it at Best Buy on sale for $30 USD.

Thanks everyone!
