Citation 525 enroute from Napa to Phoenix

Recommended Posts

Flying the Citation 525 up to FL350, on my way to my hometown of Phoenix.  I love the 525, back when jets were handflown with steam gauges.  I have their Premier1a and Phenom, but the 525, which I bought almost by accident when their 550 wouldn't work with P3dv4, is just so pleasant an aircraft to fly.  I had to modify the aircraft.cfg with use_no_default_pitch=0 to get the autopilot to function properly, otherwise it would override the selected vertical speed.  Once that was adjusted I've had some incredible flights.  The aircraft can be flown without the autopilot into the flight levels simply by trimming it.  Sadly I can't get the NAV hold to work on it, don't know why.  With or without the flight director enabled.  Maybe someone who knows the aircraft can tip me off as to what to do.

Please enjoy my screenshots as I compete with HLJames, LOL, for domination of photoreal screenshot sharing.

Fantastic flight plan from California range and basin on the coast to bad land to flat farmland to the Sierra Nevada's granite to the high desert sandstone and into the dark Kayenta of Arizona....very nice shots!

Thank you very much!  I did not complete the entire flight, I ended it about 10 minutes out from Glendale, just did not feel up to landing at that time.  But the enroute scenery is very nice, passing by Vegas and Kingman on the way down to the Phoenix metro area.  Also the crossing of the Sierras, by Mt. Whitney, is breathtaking.  Haven't purchased any more of the MSE scenery, but I am very happy with what I have.  My next flight will probably be from New Mexico to down to Phoenix.
