Altiplano – Density Altitude Alert

The tour starts in Peru at Arequipa (SPQU) at an elevation of 8400 feet and features the multiple landings at high altitude airports across the Altiplano region of South America including:

El Alto (SLLP) - 13,314 Elevation

Cochabamba (SLCB) – 8,360 Elevation

Sucre (SLSU) - 9,528 Elevation

Potosi (SLPO) - 12,923 Elevation

Caposa (SCKP) - 12,468 Elevation

The route concludes on the Pacific coast of Chile at Iquique (SCDA) – 157 Elevation.

Aircraft:
The route is 738 miles and a fast aircraft capable of performing at high altitudes will be required.  I will be flying the PMDG 737-800 in Copa livery but as always you are free to fly what you like.

Excellent "Pilots' Guide". And some terrific videos -- just captivating, really. The sunsets at Salar de Uyuno are truly worth the price of admission -- to see these in high quality 4K video is a treat. And in the Potosi street scenes ... the man in the white Bengal tiger suit?

After the flight, I bought the ($50) a2a C182 for P3D and installed it.

Looks just like the FSX version that I already own, and after fixing the broken beacon light, it runs just great!!

After the flight I went and kicked the dog!

Remember I came back and said my connection worked! Another lie. I found out via a post in JoinFS forum that the method of connecting to my own server was to use the internal IP i.e. 192.168.0.5 which works a treat.

I think I'll try using the Hub method. This will make it easier for new guys to join without the angst of IP addresses etc. Simply go View\Hubs\Find 'AvsimRTW'\click Join. Simples.
