apparently it is, i don't recall reading that part of the intro myself that doesn't mean it isn't there but I can see the effects on the vc windows which appears to be exactly this phenomenon which is a nice touch really

amazing... and here I thought it was a bug! Nonetheless, I doing a fresh install of all PMDG as I want to get rid of some crappy liveries, aircraft configs and so on and gain peace of mind.

(P.S. all this wasnt in the intro manual hence me asking)

I'm relatively sure that it is. I may not have used 'delamination' specifically, but it could've been de-lamination, or similar. Pretty sure it's in there, though.

Wow thanks. To set the record straight my re-installation process went as follows: Please let me know if any step is wrong

-run uninstaller

-delete simobjects

-delete PMDG root folder

-Delete roaming/ simobjects

-Delete files in roaming/ops center (livery backup.dat, updater files, and cache files)

Uninstall. Reinstall. Done.

If you're just wanting to delete liveries, just use the Livery Manager.

There's nothing to be gained from all of these simism-related cleans people recommend other than giving in to obsessive-compulsive urges and wasting time.
