unable to activate PTA

hi 

updated windows to clean install fall creators update

seems to be ok

clean install of p3d v4.1

downloaded latest version of pta

but before i can activate it the activation box becomes ghosted

and it stops responding

made backup of all presets

deleted pta folder

redownloaded a few times but everytime pta becomes ghosted

need to reboot to try again

done this 7 or 8 times same thing happens

anybody got any ideas what to do next

i would be so grateful
