Blue trail with Ai traffic

Recommended Posts

Haven't had P3Dv4 for very long, but whenever an AI aircraft takes off, it leaves a blue trail behind it. I have no addon Ai, Scenery or Weather as yet. Only payware aircraft are PMDG 737NGX and A2A C182. Have posted this problem on the LM P3D forum, but have as yet, had no answers. Anyone with a possible answer !.  In the sim,I have the following ticked in Vehicle Labels: Model,Distance,Altitude, Label Color=Red.

Cheers,

Neil

Hi WP,

Not sure what you mean by "as an effect", but it's a blue line that follows right behind the aircraft. It does not fade, and you can follow the flight of the aircraft until it disappears over the horizon. Not sure how to take or post an image.

Cheers,

is it on all aircraft or just one? If there are several ai in view are there blue lines all over?

does this happen at any altitude?  You said when they take off, so just when it leaves the ground, the blue line starts?

Hi Vic,

Have taken a screenshot, with "imjur.com" but It won't load onto this screen (Possibly because I am doing something wrong). However the line appears as soon as an AI aircraft begins to taxi. The line follows the aircraft all the way while taxiing to the runway, and then just follows it, while it gains altitude. This time I actually watched the process for awhile. The line starts to retract from the runway as the aircraft gains altitude, and then just follows behind.

Hope that description is a bit clearer.

In the sim, go to the "Navigation" menu and check the "Navigation Visuals" box. That will pop up a box. Untick "Enable Ribbon Visuals".
