GTN vs GNS Process Resources in FltSim

Recommended Posts

In comparison to the GNS units, the GTN units don't seem to be very "fluid" with respect to performance. Will there be any performance improvements in the next update?

Really ? i don't see any performance difference between GTN in P3D and GTN into trainer stand alone.

My spec : I7 2600k@4.3 Ghz, 16Go Ram, GeForce 970 4 Go, SSD drive.

The GTN trainer is heavier than the GNS, nevertheless, we carefully manage its impact when used within FltSim.

As a matter of fact, when running under our wraps, the GTN trainer takes less resources than standalone because we take care to dynamically remove unnecessary process/resources handling.

For example, run the trainer standalone and observe both the CPU% and the WS (aka "working set"), the closest you'd get evaluating the actual physical RAM the trainer process is consuming.

Now observe and compare when running the Reality XP GTN within FltSim ;-)

Again, there is so much engineering behind the scene, I can't never stress enough not all GTN are born equal...
