"When I Shift-Right-Click to go into settings, and when in FSX full screen view. The settings box pops up and I am taken out of FSX."

I operate FSX (Win7/64) and P3DV4 (Win10/64) on a single PC with separate drives. I experienced the same as above with FSX but not with P3DV4; both in full screen mode w/ three monitors.

I hope this info helps.

A quick update: there is definitely something about full screen vs non-full screen which doesn't help, however, we can't figure out yet why it is working on P3D for some and not others, or while it is not working on FSX for some and not for others.

However, nothing in the code related to the panel windows has changed since the last 2 versions?!

Fortunately I am about done with needing entry to either, particularly when flying. I have been working through my aircraft. model by model, setting up the v2 units preferences, popups, etc. So when I get back consistently to just flying I hope to find it that I will seldom use the Addons setup or the Assistant. Understand it is an issue that will affect users and thus needs attention. But in the law of diminishing returns please look for any issues that are more widespread or defeating.

Hi Frank, you are right. Luckily, for us, it looks like this 'window' thing is the last issue we're having with the GNS V2 though, unless I'm forgetting something in the flow of messages

Will there be a time when the units are also power by their ON/OFF buttons in lieu of the Avionics bus?

Hi,

We've finalized internal cleanup of the RC prior release and have taken the opportunity to add support for the power knob switch in both our FltSim and X-Plane versions.

There will be a new entry in the Settings Panel (right below the Power Source):

Power Knob Switch:

  • Volume Only is the default setting and offers volume 0 to 100% only (on supported FltSim/XPlane versions).
  • Default On: it starts with the switch on (initial position depends on the actual volume).
  • Default Off: it starts with the switch off.

It is handy because you can set power source to "always on" and yet turn off/on with the power knob!

Now working on final flight tests prior release!
