Hi,

I would like to ask who uses Active Sky 2016 or Active Sky Next on a client PC the right configuration to make it work.
Or step by step the instructions as indicated by the manual are only blocked when running the program on the client PC. Having shared the folders as indicated in the Startup Guide the program from the client PC to the executable of the server tells me that it obviously does not see any FSX installed in the PC (client) and gives me the opportunity to indicate the folder manually where it should be installed. Do I have to indicate the sim folder on the server? Now I do not remember the exact folder but it should be what I find in the program setup menu, right? Or should I also install AS2016 on the client PC and start the executable by pointing them later on the folder on the PC server?
Thank you.

You need to enable share for the folders containing FSX.exe and the appdata\roaming\microsoft\fsx folders on the server pc.

Then point AS201616 to the relevant shared  folders when prompted.

Ok, from what I understand I must find the AS16 executable (present on the PC server) from the client PC by pointing to the folders and I do not have to install the program on the client PC, right?
Thank you.

Place the AS2016 install.exe on the client PC and run it from there, AS2016 requires certain files to be installed on your Client PC.  As Ernie said, AS2016 will prompt you to point to the relevant folders on the server pc where the sim is located.  Ensure that you have the properly configured SimConnect.XML file in the %AppData%\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\ folder and SimConnect.cfg in the Documents folder located on your client PC.
