Downsides to using old FSX sceneries with P3D v4

Hello, 

While many payware airports are in the process of being updated and release for v4, most freeware airports out there are built for FSX. I used to freewarescenery.com to usually download airports, and very few of those have been updated to p3d v4. Is there a similar website or library where I can find v4 compatible scenery ? 

Is there going to be problems using old FSX sceneries with v4 ?

It all depends on how those sceneries were made.  If the developer used older techniques that pre-dated FSX, then the scenery is likely to be problematic, with missing objects, black textures etc.  Sceneries built specifically for FSX tend to function, although they can hit performance.  P3D native sceneries, built with the SDK and using the new materials, run much more efficiently in P3D as a rule, particulary where dynamic lighting enters the mix.

I use a few converted FSX sceneries, but prefer the P3D4 native fare.  Lots of new/updated content appearing daily now.
