what an amazing sim (VR)

Recommended Posts

ok so i purchased aerofly 2 a few mths ago played it a little and never got back to it, i then played fsx abit in VR and due to crashing due to errors etc (fly-inside and limited 32 application thanks to FSX) I returned to aerofly, i then flew with the 737500 and started to enjoy the scenery etc in VR however in FSX in enjoyed most the glass cockpit of the 737800 PMDG, however today i took the default 747 of aerofly for a quick flight wow i am so impressed with this flightsim ever though the fmc doesn't work the sense of being in a 747 flight deck and the amazing stunning views in VR was jsut spectacular !

No fs has come close to the feeling of being in a flight deck than this flightsim, I am so excited for the future of this game, thank you developers you really are on a winner.

Months after purchase, I sometimes still just go "wow" and break into a spontaneous grin.

yes with this sim you just plan your route and go fly, no tweaking this, crashes that, there are still a few issues that need to be resolved but the enjoyment of flying from one airport to the other on very detailed planes and flightdeck with the added bonus of smooth performance in VR, it is just so satisfying!

The integrated VR instead of a stand-alone app make's this the  best civil (as opposed to DCS) flightsimming experience. The clarity of the cockpits and manipulations of the buttons in VR is very good.

yes for example now as functional as the PMDG747 flightdeck i think the AF FS2 flightdeck is of very good standard.

LOL I got back into Aerofly FS 2 because I used it WITHOUT VR! I didn't use Aerofly for quite a while because I got fed up with the low resolution in VR (and also the lack of weather) but the announcement of Colorado made me do a few flights again. After a few VR flights, and getting sick of the resolution once more, I decided to fly in 2D and well, that was a good decision! Today I did my first flight since a long time in the Airbus (for which I had to use my own tutorial LOL) and it was great. Ok, no weather but above Utah and Colorado that blue sky and the sun all day seems quite appropriate. The scenery is really beautiful in places and approaching Denver (KDEN) in the Airbus was pretty cool, also because I can now actually enjoy all the detail IPACS put in it (which was wasted on me when I used VR).

Of course VR has some things going for it but for now I prefer good old 2D.

Now, If you want to try a longer flight, you could grab Orbx Chicago and try a jaunt from there to New York. Flight time should be about 1-1/2 hours.......
