P3Dv 3.4 and 4 Tweaks

Hi Matt

I have a Chillblast Fusion Hurricane from Chillblast in 2012

It has a Intel i5 3570K overclocked to 4.5GHz

Updated with a Gainward 4560 18336-3460 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB graphics card and 16 GB DDR3L-1866 UDIMM memory . Also 2x2 Terrabyte and one1xTerrabyte hard discs. I have FSX,P3Dv3.4 and P3Dv4 setup-one OS on each disc

PTA set up in P3Dv3.4 and v4-make a noticeable difference to both sims

My point is that after much tweaking of v3.4 and v4 I decided to try using the default settings in v3.4and v4

BothP3D sims seem smooth -very few stutters and jumps -if any. Only Tweak-Dynamic Autogen disabled in v4 for Orbyx trees

Am I giving up too soon? Is it worth persevering with new Tweaks or should I just continue giving most of my time to flying only?

PS Idid try your P3Dv3 settings as per your y-tubes video

I find that P3D is less about performance tweaking, more about aesthetics tweaking. I have no issues with performance in P3D v4 just by adjusting the sliders - no real config tweaks are necessary.

Thanks for that .It was a Jim Young post on June 23rd that pointed me in this direction.Certainly made my life simpler.

Do you think upgrading the Graphics Card would give me a worthwhile performance leap before I jump to a new Chillblast machine?

A GeForce GTX 1060 6GB is a possibility

I'd go for a 1070 if budget allows - that'll be a good upgrade for the future too.

I could up the CPU to i7 from i5 also-if it is worth it ?
