P2A wont load.

Recommended Posts

Hi a few weeks ago i tried the free trial version on PTA and it worked great after a short break i decided to buy the full version i put my key in but now when i click launch  i get the loading screen which shows at 10% then after a while i get a message saying Database error  "Unable to initialize Database the underlying provider failed on open. A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that the SQL server is configure to allow remote connections.  (provider: SQL network interface error 52 unable to locate a local database runtime installation.......

Any idea what thats all about?

Cheers

Brian

This error usually means that the Microsoft SQLLocalDB program is not starting or is not installed properly. It is installed with the full install of Pilot2ATC but perhaps it has been damaged or removed.  I'll PM a link to the installation package you can run to ensure it is installed.

Hi yes this message reminded me that between using the trial version and buying the full version i had a window issue and lost some files. Even though P2A is on my E drive i obviously lost something on my C drive i needed. I did a reinstall and now its working again. Thank you for your quick response very impressive product matched by a very impressive customer service!

 Cheers

 Brian
