Groundhandling in P3Dv4

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is anyone interested in an upload of my good-old Groundhandling package for P3Dv4 ?

I made an upgrade on request of a user who migrated from FSX to P3Dv4.
Besides the 64-bit compatibility, I also added a few new things:
- A new Taxispeed gauge, works now accurately for any aircraft.
- Besides the old-style pushback (using the FSX/P3D embedded pushback function), I added a free-style pushback so you can  steer the aircraft yourself during pushback.
Of course still with all the Tug-Cockpit conversations.

Cheers, Rob

Well done!, thanks for offering this to everybody.

How does the gauge works? is this for the user aircraft?

Regards,

Simbol

Yes, it's just a set of gauges you can add to any aircraft, with a controlpanel in a seperate 2D-window.
If you're interested, just search for file rcbgh-50.zip (this was for FSX, the first version was for FS9)

That is great news I have really missed this one, has it been uploaded to Avsim as I only see the previous FSX version there at the moment, either way thanks for taking the time out to update it.

Oops ...Not uploaded yet ...
Will do so in a few days (working on the Manual)

I was just asking if simmers  were still interrested in it ... LoL
Apperantly many are, give all reactions on various flightsim forums .

Cheers, Rob

Yes Rob, please.

I use yours on all my aircrafts, and I was wondering if you will be updating it. So please yes.

Thanks in advance

Rob, I just installed it in P3Dv4 and the PMDG 737NGX following your notes. If I press shift-P now it starts the pushback (with or without parking break), but there is no way to control it. Just goes straight backwards.

Hi Willy,

Maybe you are misreading my README.
There are two versions:
- One named FreeControl, which doesn't use the standard Pushback functions.

- The Standard one (Original method) that uses the P3D pushback function. But you never should give a Shift-P command (or turn commands) yourself; that's all done by the gauge.

Looks great - love the sound of the FreeControl version.   Just grabbed it from SOH.

Thanks Rob.

Does anybody have a link to Rob Barendregt's groundhandling gauge?  And does it work in P3D ver 4?
