landing lights (nose)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

In tutorial 1 mentioned turning landing lights by middle/wheel clicking, that means turning all the switches, left+nose+right. My question is, after lifting off, should we turn off the nose (middle of the 3 switches) light? (Because the gear is already retracted)

Thanks.

that depends on airline SOP. Common practice is to turn them off after flaps are retracted(at acceleration height). So, after retracting flaps, runway turn off light and the taxi/take off light on A320 or the outboard or retractable landing lights on the 737 for example - are usually turned off, and landing lights are turned off at 10000ft
